The Hobgoblin Leamington Spa Comedy Festival is back with a bang in 2014 and will run from 11th – 18th October with more big comedy names, club nights, and a specially programmed day just for kids.

Now in its third year, Leamington Spa’s Funniest Festival builds on the success of previous years with headline acts this year including Milton Jones, Paul Chowdhry, Henning Wehn, Sarah Pascoe, Rory McGrath & Sean Hughes.

The Festival also includes a wide range of comedy and fun such as Edinburgh Fringe sensations The Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Company; transvestite metalhead comedian Andrew O’Neill; Chortle Award winner Jarred Christmas; BBC New Comedy Award winner Lucy Beaumont; one of the very first heats of the new, national comedy competition The Hobgoblin Comedy Award and a chance for local comedians to showcase their talent at The Late & Local Comedy Night.

Free events also return again this year with a Family Fun Day and this year there’ll be a chance for everyone to take part in making history as Leamington attempts to set a Guinness World Record for the most jokes told in one town on one day.

Kids are well catered for once again with the return of the ever popular Comedy Club 4 Kids; and more puppet based mirth and mayhem from festival favourites Squashbox Theatre Company.

The festival will finish off in fine style with the bumper Hobgoblin Festival Finale, at The Royal Spa Centre on Saturday 18th October. Headlined by Milton Jones, and featuring TV favourites Sean Hughes, Sara Pascoe, Martin Mor and compered by John Robbins.
