The railway industry’s celebration of Her Majesty’s 90th birthday.

Something special is happening on 11th June 2016 at Leamington Spa Station between 09:00 – 12:00.  Railway staff and passengers will be celebrating HM The Queen’s 90th birthday, along with millions of people across the country. Passengers, staff and the local community at Chiltern Railways Leamington Spa station will be able to enjoy the festive atmosphere with free ‘royal’ treats, a royal ‘look-a-like’ and lots more surprises.

The event, billed as Station to Station, Queen’s Celebration’ will see stations across the UK throw open their doors to welcome the UK public for a weekend of free celebrations. For the first time in history, the rail industry is joining together with organisations like the UK Scout Association and the Women’s Institute to provide a unique environment to celebrate the Queen’s milestone birthday. It is anticipated to be one of the biggest events to be hosted by the UK’s rail industry in living memory.

Leamington Spa station manager said: “We’re delighted to be taking part in this special event to celebrate the Queen’s birthday – rail stations are a key part of the local community; we’re looking forward to an enjoyable family day for the Queen at Leamington station.”
