British furniture manufacturer, Vitsoe will open a Pop-up in Royal Leamington Spa, to introduce the company to the local community as its new home nears completion. The Pop-up will run from 29 March to 13 April in the heart of Leamington’s town centre on Warwick Street.
The internationally-known company announced plans to settle in Royal Leamington Spa due to its excellent transport connections; the community’s rich industrial heritage; the close proximity to the universities of Warwick and Coventry; and the town’s distinguished architecture. Most of Vitsoe’s suppliers are based in the “Midlands Engine” region, making it the ideal home for the company. Construction of the new building, on the site of the former Ford Foundry, began in October last year.
A place of making and creativity, the building will embrace offices, research and development, software development, museum, product assembly and more. Vitsoe plans to move in to its new home in the summer and will be recruiting for a number of new skilled roles.
The Pop-up will introduce visitors to Vitsoe with information about the company, its people and what it makes. There will also be examples of Vitsoe’s renowned and discreet furniture systems including the 606 Universal Shelving System, the 620 Chair Programme and the 621 Table, each designed for the long term – a kit of parts, able to adapt to the ever-changing lives and needs of Vitsoe’s customers.
Vitsoe’s managing director, Mark Adams, said, “Vitsoe’s new Leamington home would not have happened without the overwhelming support of the local community. We are looking forward to meeting as many new faces as possible during the two weeks that Vitsoe pops up at 84 Warwick Street.”
