Leamington Food & Drink Festival has teamed up with local award-winning butcher Aubrey Allen to run a ‘Home Cook of the Year’ Competition.
So if you’re up for a challenge and want to have a lot of fun – why not enter now?
Share your perfect three course menu with us; cold starter, hot main course based on using Aubrey Allen’s wonderful ‘Farm Assured’ Cornish lamb, and your very best dessert. Our judges will pick four finalists to cook their hot main course LIVE under the watchful eyes of the UK’s favourite Chef Brian Turner, local food hero Andreas Antona and, to ensure fair play, local MP Chris White.
The final will take place from 12 noon at the Leamington Food & Drink Festival on the Live Cookery Theatre stage Sunday 7 September (however entries to the competition close on 15th August).
As well as being crowned Aubrey Allen’s ‘Home Cook of the Year’ our four finalists will be competing for the following prizes:
1st. Two places at Aubrey Allen’s Butchery School. Two Places at Simpsons Cookery School followed by dinner for two and an overnight stay at Simpsons.
2nd. Two places at Aubrey Allen’s Butchery School and dinner for four at Oscars French Bistro.
3rd. Dinner for two at Oscars French Bistro.
4th. £50 worth of Aubrey Allen Butcher & Deli vouchers.
So, if you’re free on 7 September take the challenge! Share your favourite home menu with us and you could be cooking live on the stage at this year’s Leamington Food Festival. For more information download the entry form below.
