Rail passengers using Leamington Spa station are set to benefit from more car park spaces by Autumn 2016.
Chiltern Railways has started work on a £840,000 extension to the existing station car park on a disused site adjacent to the station on Old Warwick Road. The new facility will provide 380 car park spaces including five electric car charging points accommodating 10 vehicles.
Chiltern is working closely with Warwick District Council to ensure car parking is available for rail users during the Station Approach regeneration scheme north of the station.
Jennifer Payne, Customer Services Director said, “The enlarged car park will provide 380 spaces and will be of significant benefit to the growing number of passengers travelling from Leamington Spa station.
